First Steps
Prior to adopting a Rescue rabbit, an Adoption Request Form needs to be filled out. Please
E-mail us to get this Adoption Form to continue with adoption, by pushing adopt or bunniesrusrabbitry@hotmail.comAn adoption application will be sent to you once we receive your request. Check your spam folder.
Include in your email, your name, your phone number (this way we can contact you when we send you the application) and if you live far away. We can try to help you find that perfect bunny. If you live far away, and are accepted to adopt, you can likely pick up your bunny on your appointment day.
If a bunny is not showing a bio, that means they are not ready yet, and still in the intake process. You still can adopt them. They just won’t be ready to leave the rescue for 3-7 days.
If a bunny is in pending status, they are already going through an adoption process. If a bunny is on hold, it could be it is showing signs of a sickness, is hurt or has babies, or is on hold for a variety of other reasons. You can still adopt but they will have to stay here until we think they are ready for adoption.
All fees include starter food, hay and litter and a folder filled with information about your bunny.
Adoption fees run from 80 to 300. we run higher on spay/neutered bunnies and ones (lops) that are in high demand. We have to do this to make sure they are going to forever homes. These are rescues that can’t handle being thrown around and are not tended as a kid pet, but a family pet.
We are also not accepting bunnies to come back without paying a intake fee no matter how long you have had the bunny. we will also have to add you to the list so this weeds out people adopting and bringing them back after days.
We are also not offering the 7 day quarantine anymore. this is causing people to abuse this and it is stressing bunnies out where going from a home to here to another home and back some has gone into GI statis and passed.
please only adopt a forever bunny not one that is a piece of trash and brought back because you changed your mind.
We are also no longer letting babies leave here until they are 12 weeks old. their picture will be on the site and if you adopt prior, they will go into boarding for the last weeks 10-12 weeks so their boarder fees will be in their cost of adoption. Once they hit 12 weeks and have not been adopted their fees will go down
This rescue is ran by Diane and a few volunteers. we do what we can to make sure the bunnies are very healthy prior to leaving. we are small and make mistakes so this year 2026 we will be having you check the bunny over prior to leaving BRUR. If you see something at that time that you are not happy with then you can adopt another bunny. Bunnies come in from all sorts of situations and sometimes we miss something or they have pee stains that are almost impossible for us to clear up in time you want to adopt, so we are giving all customers a chance to do a final check before taking the bunny home. we also will not be allowing anyone to visit bunnies outside of the office. Bunnies will be brought to you. so when you have an interest in adopting you may have 3 bunnies you can choose from. if you are not happy with the three choices then we can reschedule another meeting or you can decide to adopt else where. We apologize for this new step but this will help keep appointments less then an hour and keeping the bunnies safe and not disturb bunnies that have anxiety issues. We do not accept walk-ins

Chucky is a flemish mix, unaltered male and Graceland is a spayed female Rex, satin mix. These two are hard to tell apart but if you see their personality you can tell who is who. Graceland is laid back and chucky is active. Neither of them like to be held but can make you laugh as you watch them play. Lots of room, lots of toys and these two will be happy as long as they feel loved.

Crosslynn does not get along well with other bunnies but she sure loves Nutella. She needed a partner and she is loving her new mom. Their bond is new but they do great together. Crosslynn is teaching her to be potty trained and they love to snuggle. . A cute mother and adoptive daughter this is. . Crosslynn is a Rex, spayed female and Nutella is a lop mix unaltered female.

October is a flemish mix unaltered female. Helena is a holland lop, unaltered female. These two girls just get along well. October is a laid back bunny but also full of spunky. Helena is very full of spunk and just loves to dig. Both use the litter pan, they cuddle each other Sweet girls looking to be loved.

These three. are just a strange couple of bunnies that just get along. They do not have to go together but they are bonded at this point. Henry is just a crazy boy who loves to play with his friends and then when he is done he is a sound sleeper. Axel loves being their son and is blind so he sniffs his way around and then lays next to them. Frida is the one you can hold for hours so is just content and happy in her own little world. Henry is an unaltered lop male, Axel is an unaltered lion head. Frida is a Netherland dwarf, altered female.

Jennilee and Marianne are bonded unaltered sisters. They look so much a like. Jennilee has a small spot of white on her head otherwise they are hard to tell apart. They both are shy, they both need to be worked with when it comes to being held. They also need help on litter training but have improved. They are sweet and very playful. They don’t have a lot of trust but together they love each other. Lessa is very shy and you can pick her up but she is very scared. Emma Sue is also very shy but she will trust you faster then Lessa/ Lessa is a satin, unaltered female. Emma Sue is an unaltered female. Who wants to love these two sweet girls.

He is a mini rex, neutered male.They do really god together but they do not have to stay together at this point. Frostine is a little stinker and loves to escape but also loves to be held. Pecan loves to be petted but not huge on being held. Bayzil loves to be held, loves to be petted and very potty trained. He is a gret boy who is enjoying the girlsThey are working on using the litter pan and are improving but need work. They love to play and love to have a hid-a-way.

She just needs more attention and she will settle in nicely.

Thumper came in with Eli Dixie and Amani. they were all very loved but the family is moving out of state and could not take 4 bunnies with them. Thumper is the shy one. It takes time to earn your tcan berust. But once he has it, he will have your heart forever. , but he is the very laid back one. He is very docile and loves people and having friends.. He has the cutest personality he can go with a bonded partner or to a home who has a bunny. I don’t think he would do good on his own. He is potty trained a a bunny with a big heart.

Brock just is a silly bunny. He is not afraid of anything and if you are not watching he will sneak up on you and want your love. He loves to play with his cups and throws them waiting for you to place catch. He seemed scared at first but within a day he settled in and shone us he is just a big love bug who likes to play and thinks he is a dog sometimes. He is potty trained and would do great in any home, especially one he can roam in.

Chase is a perfect bunny for any family. He is very use to kids and dogs. The little boy was holding him in weird positions and this boy just didn’t care. He is very friendly, very busy and a very loving boy. He would be perfect in a new bunny home, kid home or anyone looking for a very docile bunny.
Chase at one point hurt his front paw and broke it, it never healed right so it looks weird. But he doesn’t even care now and just acts like a normal boy. Just you might feel his born when holding him. He just needs to be be careful of not having high places to jump from. Don’t know how long he has had it, he came in this way

She is just looking for a family to love her as she grows to be a great bunny.

Prue was a little sassy when she first came in, but once she warms up to you she is another whole bunny. she loves her pets. Loves to play and just loves to be near you. She would do great with someone who has bunnies prior.

Menace came in because he is a very hyper and can be aggressive breed. When he came in he was aggressive and he even tried to escape and hurt his eye. The eye has healed but within this time we had to pick him up and care for him, this made a huge difference he has been super sweet, he lets us hold him he is a stinker but cute and really just needs lots of love. He is now showing no signs of aggressiveness. But he would do better in a home without kids, or older kids and one who can keep working with him because right now he is a big love bug.

IF YOU STILL WANT TO ADOPT TO ENSURE A BABY OF YOUR CHOICE A BOARDING FEE WILL NOW BE APPLIED. WE HAVE TO DO THIS TO ENSURE THEM NOT TO PASS FROM STRESS AND GETTING BAD RATINGS EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE JUST SO FRAGILE YET TILL 12 WEEKS. SORRY FOR THE INCOVIENCE. ONCE THEY HIT THE AGE OF 12 WEEKS AND MOVED OFF THIS PAGE, THEIR PRICES WILL GO DOWN IF YOU CHOICE TO WAIT TO ADOPT
If you want to adopt two, they can go home at 8 weeks old and their adoption fee will be $150. Leaving here at 8 weeks seems to stress them out, but if they go as pairs the stress is lowered so we will let pairs leave at 8 weeks, If you are looking for one then they will stay here till 12 weeks old.
