RESCUES AND RE-HOMERS

LOOKING TO GO HOME WITH YOU!

First Steps

  1. Prior to adopting a Rescue rabbit, an Adoption Request Form needs to be filled out. Please
E-mail us to get this Adoption Form to continue with adoption, by pushing adopt or bunniesrusrabbitry@hotmail.com

  2. An adoption application will be sent to you once we receive your request. Check your spam folder.

  3. Include in your email, your name, your phone number (this way we can contact you when we send you the application) and if you live far away. We can try to help you find that perfect bunny. If you live far away, and are accepted to adopt, you can likely pick up your bunny on your appointment day.

  4. If a bunny is not showing a bio, that means they are not ready yet, and still in the intake process. You still can adopt them. They just won’t be ready to leave the rescue for 3-7 days.

  5. If a bunny is in pending status, they are already going through an adoption process. If a bunny is on hold, it could be it is showing signs of a sickness, is hurt or has babies, or is on hold for a variety of other reasons. You can still adopt but they will have to stay here until we think they are ready for adoption.

All fees include starter food, hay and litter and a folder filled with information about your bunny.

Adoption fees run from 80 to 300. we run higher on spay/neutered bunnies and ones (lops) that are in high demand. We have to do this to make sure they are going to forever homes. These are rescues that can’t handle being thrown around and are not tended as a kid pet, but a family pet.

We are also not accepting bunnies to come back without paying a intake fee no matter how long you have had the bunny. we will also have to add you to the list so this weeds out people adopting and bringing them back after days.

We are also not offering the 7 day quarantine anymore. this is causing people to abuse this and it is stressing bunnies out where going from a home to here to another home and back some has gone into GI statis and passed.

please only adopt a forever bunny not one that is a piece of trash and brought back because you changed your mind.

We are also no longer letting babies leave here until they are 12 weeks old. their picture will be on the site and if you adopt prior, they will go into boarding for the last weeks 10-12 weeks so their boarder fees will be in their cost of adoption. Once they hit 12 weeks and have not been adopted their fees will go down

This rescue is ran by Diane and a few volunteers. we do what we can to make sure the bunnies are very healthy prior to leaving. we are small and make mistakes so this year 2026 we will be having you check the bunny over prior to leaving BRUR. If you see something at that time that you are not happy with then you can adopt another bunny. Bunnies come in from all sorts of situations and sometimes we miss something or they have pee stains that are almost impossible for us to clear up in time you want to adopt, so we are giving all customers a chance to do a final check before taking the bunny home. we also will not be allowing anyone to visit bunnies outside of the office. Bunnies will be brought to you. so when you have an interest in adopting you may have 3 bunnies you can choose from. if you are not happy with the three choices then we can reschedule another meeting or you can decide to adopt else where. We apologize for this new step but this will help keep appointments less then an hour and keeping the bunnies safe and not disturb bunnies that have anxiety issues. We do not accept walk-ins

Thank you for supporting Bunnies-R-Us Rescue.

    BD: 6-1-21

    Weight: 5.6

Anya and Nicholas are unbonded siblings. They lived outside their whole life. They have never been held. The owner was an older guy who also ended up passing so they are both looking to just be loved and know a different life they are not use to.

Anya has come a long ways since she has been here. She is starting to accept hugs and snuggles, she will back up when you first take her out of the cage but once you have her she is starting to enjoy lots of love. She does have several wounds on her ears that are still healing but daily cleaning has helped this clear up.

Poor Gizmo really just needs a home who will spend time with him and love him. He was rescued from outdoors at only 5 weeks old. He was so frightened and had a hard time trusting humans. He has been adopted twice. We even got him neutered to see if this would help. He still spooks and just can’t get to that true trust with humans. He is with Tylenna which has helped. But once he knows you and knows what you are doing he has a sweet side. He just needs to be loved and aware he can’t hear. He has not been with females but I feel a female will help him adjust to his surroundings a little faster. He is potty trained and a teddy bear he just try’s to be tough. He really loves lakelyn and she has helped him come out of his shell. When Rico came in he came from a really bad situation. He still has pee stains on him that we have not gotten out. Weight: 7.6

    has babies

Grace is a very sweet girl. she just doesn’t always likes to be held. She will let you love on her and does really good free roaming and is a great floor bunny. Just not great at always wanting to be held. IF you work with her she will do better as she feels loved and safe. Grace would do better in a home that knows how to care for bunnies.

Whinnie is so sweet, once you hold her she melts into your arms. She was very young and had never been held by an adult. This caused her to be very frightened. Unknown & Other Breeds

  • Breann ($80)

    Checkered giant, female

    BD: 4-28-25

    Weight: 8.7

Breann and Brylynn are sisters. They had a hard time getting along in the beginning. I suggest they getting spayed or go separate. They are doing better as they settle in.

Breann is the friendlier one. She likes her head rubs, she likes to run and be silly and so much fun to watch. But she will not let you pick her up, she needs to work on potty training. She would do great with a male. She just needs some work young and has a lot to learn. She might do better in a home who has lots of room to roam

Brylynn is very shy, very scared and is very timid. She has a lot to learn. I think once she gets fixed or a male she might calm down. She needs to go to a home with lots of room and who is willing to work with her.

  • Menace ($80)

    Tan, male

    BD: 5-28-25

    Weight: 4.2

Menace came in because he is a very hyper and can be aggressive breed. When he came in he was aggressive and he even tried to escape and hurt his eye. The eye has healed but within this time we had to pick him up and care for him, this made a huge difference he has been super sweet, he lets us hold him he is a stinker but cute and really just needs lots of love. He is now showing no signs of aggressiveness. But he would do better in a home without kids, or older kids and one who can keep working with him because right now he is a big love bug.
