RESCUES AND RE-HOMERS

LOOKING TO GO HOME WITH YOU!

First Steps

  1. Prior to adopting a Rescue rabbit, an Adoption Request Form needs to be filled out. Please
E-mail us to get this Adoption Form to continue with adoption.

  2. An adoption application will be sent to you once we receive your request. Check your spam folder.

  3. Include in your email, your name, your phone number (this way we can contact you when we send you the application) and if you live far away. We can try to help you find that perfect bunny. If you live far away, and are accepted to adopt, you can likely pick up your bunny on your appointment day.

  4. If a bunny is not showing a bio, that means they are not ready yet, and still in the intake process. You still can adopt them. They just won’t be ready to leave the rescue for 3-7 days.

  5. If a bunny is in pending status, they are already going through an adoption process. If a bunny is on hold, it could be it is showing signs of a sickness, is hurt or has babies, or is on old for a variety of other reasons. You can still adopt but they will have to stay here until we think they are ready for adoption.

All bunnies that leave here do have a 7-day guarantee bunniesrusrabbitry@hotmail.com

All adoption fees run from $30-$160 depending on age, breed and care of the bunny. All fees include starter food, hay and litter and a folder filled with information about your bunny.

We had to up our rates on the ones we fix on our own and I do apologize but in the long run this is helping you adopt a bunny and not have to worry about paying hundreds of dollars that it cost to fix a bunny. If they come in and are fixed this does helps us keep the cost down for those bunnies. Parents dropping off bunnies also help pay a fee to go towards getting them fixed so this too will help some of them be at a lower cost. This was a hard decision to make but to make sure they are cared, loved and fed properly and can continue saving bunnies and adopting them to a new family that will love them forever, it was something we had to do.

We are working hard on getting most of the bunnies spayed/neutered. This is so exciting to add to our new adventure. Getting Bunnies spayed/neutered is a very high cost. Because of this, our adoption prices will also be going up. But this will help you have a better potty trained, happier, and healthier bunny. It depends on what the re-homer pays when dropping a bunny off on what a cost will be for a bunny. Please bear with us if you see adoption prices go up.

Thank you for supporting Bunnies-R-Us Rescue.

Betty is a super sweet, calm girl. She really just needs someone to love her forever. She does have bad eyes where they need to be wiped once in awhile or drops to help them when they start to inflame. She’s older but she just needs a calmer home where she can free roam. She is potty trained and a lover girl. She would do better in a calm peaceful home and one who can pay for her to get drops for her eyes when needed.

  • Brady ($150)

    holland lop, Neutered, male

    BD: 2-26-22

    Weight: 3.8

    Brady is bonded with Sydney

Brady is a super sweet boy. He loves his cuddles, he loves to play, uses the litter pan and just a very special boy. The only problem with Brady is he has splay back legs. He was born with them but this is what makes him so special he still can get around and he will melt your heart fast. He would need a special need litter pan so he can get in an out of properly. But he would do great in any home that can make sure he doesn’t have anything to jump off of or one with children who could drop him for this could hurt them worse. Otherwise he is a huge love bug

    BD: 10-23-22

    Weight: 5.2

Careberry is a sweet and very mellow girl. But she has really bad eye issues. She might have to be on eye drops for the rest of life. Although this is not an extreme expense we still have lowered her price down in the hopes that some one can give her the care she needs. She is lovable but she does not like people touching around her eyes other then that she is sweet and has bonded with other bunnies. She would do better in a home that will be able to make sure she gets proper care for her eyes when needed.

Sydney should stay with Brady. She doesn’t like to be held like her brother but she is a huge help to him when he wobbles around. She loves her brother and will help him as much as she can. She is more of a floor bunny. She will play with you on the floor and will let you pick her up, but it might take a minute to get her. Holland Lop, Female, Rescue

    BD: 9-23-21

    Weight: 4.3

Zoloft had hurt her eye at one point. She might have a blind spot but nothing you need to worry about or even notice. Since she has been here she has become a sweetheart and is bonded with several friends

Zoloft is more picker on how you put things in her cage. She is more on the lazy side but she does take treats and food out of your hand. She loves to be held but it takes a little to get her out of the cage. She had an awful life and a terrible diet so she loves to eat. She has a sweet heart but she will need some work before you see it. She might do better with someone who has had bunnies prior

She still needs a lot of work on trusting but she seems super smart. She was very sloppy on using the litter pan and when I showed her what it was for, she is picking it up fast. Weight: 4.6

Poor Bun-Bun has gone through so much, he was one of my first rescues here, had a home for a few years and since he has been back, he is not the bunny I knew and loved. He was abused at one point and he is having troubles trusting anyone. He has been adopted a few times to try and bond him, but he is aggressive with other bunnies and is showing aggressiveness towards the owners. He really just needs someone who can work with him, for he can be so sweet, he just is so afraid of getting hurt and abused again. He needs to go to a home that has experience and has no other animals.

    BD: 11-30-23

    Weight: 5.1

Hollander is super sweet, but very shy and timid. He came in so scared he was always hiding in a corner. But when I got him he would let me hold him for a long time. He always looked depressed so I put him with Chloe and now the two are shining. They are both using the litter pan, and do really good together. It has calmed Chloe down and making her more lovable too. I would highly suggest keeping the two together.

She does need lots of toys, for when she gets bored she will knock over her food/water bowl to let you know she is bored. Otherwise she is super sweet and would do good in any home.

  • Noah ($125)

    Satin Mix, Neutered, Male, Rescue

    BD: 11-9-24

    Weight: 5.4

Enzo, Wyatt and Noah are brothers. They are all from the wild and have never been held. They are still learning to trust people and are very scared. They will run from you, but the more you work with them the better they will be. They are so sweet once you catch them, but they will need extra love to grow into a good bunny. They would do better in a home with less noise at this point in time, this could chance as they grow

  • Onyx ($125)

    Satin Lop mix, spayed female

    BD: 2-20-24

    Weight: 5.0

Onyx is a super sweet girl. She had EC when she was younger so she does have a wobble and loves to stand up and fall backwards. But she has the heart of gold. She has been adopted but then brought back for they tried to bond her with another bunny but the other bunny got too aggressive with her. She wobbles but she can run. She would do great as a free roamer but can go after cords when she gets bored so they would need to be up or she would need to be in an area where she wouldn't touch them. She is so friendly and loves to be held however she has shown aggression to other female bunnies so it is recommended that she be alone or with another male. We would prefer if someone who has had bunnies prior to make sure she gets the care she needs.

Flemish

  • Boulder ($100)

    Flemish, male, rescue

    BD: 10-4-24

    Weight: 10.8

Boulder was bred to be a show bunny, He was rescued and we took him under the impression he was abused for not doing what he was told to do so he was going to be sent to the gas chamber. When he arrived he was terrified of everything, I couldn’t even feed him or give him water without him trying to bite for it, He didn’t know he was in a safe space yet. He is bonding with Tinkerbell and Varsha. So far he is doing really well, He is super quirky and full of life. He loves to run but be careful this Bunny has no BREAKS! silly boy runs into stuff sometimes, he can be really clumsy when he gets the bunny zoomies! he loves to be pet and have all the attention on him. He just wants all the love in the world! we are planning on getting him neutered because he is extremely hyper.

  • Jinx ($125)

    Satin, Alaskan, Neutered, male

    BD: 4-22-24

    Weight: 6.1

Jinx is a super sweet boy. when he was brought in the owners thought he was a female. He was an outdoor bunny but as life got harder his owners made a hard decision to surrender him to us because they could not take care of him anymore, When he first got here he spooked real easily but now he is the sweetest boy, he can still be easily spooked sometimes. He just needs someone to love him, he thrives on people and other bunnies being around him. He would do good in any home and would be great as a free roamer, for he is litter trained.

Velvet was a rescue and then a re-homer. The family wanted so badly to help her out, but as time went on, she just wasn't a good fit in their home. She is super sweet. She will come right up to you for kisses once she knows you. She will try to get out of her cage when she can because she loves to run and play. She would do great as a free roamer once she gets spayed or better at using the litter pan. She will let you catch her and is just a good girl. She is smart and does respond to your commands. She would do great with other animals and in any home. I call her my cat, since when she free roams she acts like one.
